Bitter sweet.
Today we served our last breakfast here at the B&B. It has been a wonderful ministry for us. We have always considered our B&B as our ministry to strangers. We close out 2014 today with our last guests this morning. Terry & Tami were a delightful couple with whom we shared our last day. Thank you to all of our guests over the 5 years that we've served here. We are blessed to have made many new and very special friends. As this chapter now closes...our new chapter can jump into full speed. In a few short months we will be moving to France to serve The Lord at the Chateau (chateaustalbain.com). It is a Christian ministry retreat center located within a 14th century stone chateau. It will be similar work-cooking, cleaning, maintenance, gardening, etc....all work of which we love to do for others. God's timing is always perfect.....and we know that this is the season to serve Him in a new way. He revealed Himself to us in profound ways on our bike trip this past summer. May we be pleasing to Him in our new work in France.

Our first guests since returning home from our 4 month journey! Mother/daughter Julie and Jaynee were visiting Mansfield last weekend. They live about an hour away and had numerous activities planned for their stay in Mansfield. They are a delightful pair and we enjoyed our time with them. They'll be back one day as they have more places to check out in the Mansfield area! It's nice to be home and again serve our guests!

Hello! We've been out for over a month now on our bike tour. It has been fantastic! The awesome sights we are seeing are really overwhelming. The B&B is running smoothly thanks to family and friends. Hello! We are well into our bike tour now! All is well with us and with the B&B! While we are away family and friends are sitting in as innkeepers. A gigantic "Thank You" to Wendy, Savannah, Jeremy, Lynn, and Steve for their hard work and willingness to take over for us for the summer. We sure do miss everyone and home. Our trip is amazing so far....with so much more to come! Thanks again!!!

It's about that time now to rake out the flower beds....Yeah! We had another full house this past weekend with guests coming in from Minnesota and Indiana. It's getting to be our busy season at the B&B and we are especially busy getting our last minute bike trip preparations completed! We will leave on May 3...with family and friends graciously running the B&B while we are gone. Have a happy day!

We had a pretty busy week here this past week with guests coming from Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ohio. There are yellow and purple crocus blooming as well as snowdrops. A family of deer have been visiting right up to the front door! We are doing some remodeling which is almost finished. We are getting our loose ends tied up regarding our upcoming bike tour. It's only about 5 weeks till departure! A big thank you ahead of time to our family and friends who will running the B&B for us. Happy Spring to all!
