🦀🌊 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT | 2026 OUTER BANKS SEAFOOD FESTIVAL CANCELED, OCT 17, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share the cancellation of this year's Outer Banks Seafood Festival. We know how much this event means to our community, and we sincerely appreciate the understanding, patience and support of everyone involved.

A Message from the Outer Banks Seafood Festival Planning Team:

Due to the approaching coastal storm and a statement made by the Dare County Emergency Management Team, we have decided to cancel the 2026 Seafood Festival event. This has been a difficult decision made with the safety of vendors and guests in mind. We encourage you to go visit our restaurant vendors this weekend to show them your support. All ticket sales, vendor and sponsorships will be honored at the 2027 Seafood Event, event date coming soon.

🎃 What do you think of the design for this year’s Halloween Island passport?

🎃 Local artist Britton “Moondog” Ricketts wanted to create something really special for 2026 that would also serve as a fun souvenir that you can take home with you. Every page inside the 12-page passport has its own unique design, each representing the theme of one of the Halloween bars.

🎃 For the cover, he took inspiration from The Outer Banks legend of Cora, “the Hatteras Witch,” with a design resembling an old Wiccan spellbook. We can’t wait for you to see what other surprises await you inside!

🎃 We look forward to seeing you all month long here on Halloween Island, brought to you by the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau and presented by this year’s “Holy Water” sponsor, Kellogg Supply Company, with proceeds benefitting the Outer Banks Relief Foundation, Inc.!
