You drove in. You unpacked. The last thing you need is to get back in the car. So we're bringing dinner to you.

Four courses. Inn guests only. August 28 at 6:30.

Deviled eggs with my bacon jam, arugula with grilled peaches and burrata, sea bass or chicken piccata, peach cobbler or raspberry semifreddo. $100 dinner, $115 with beer and wine.

“The White Doe Inn is the best hug you didn’t know you needed.” 🤍

We found this waiting for us in our guest book, and I’m not sure there could be a sweeter description of what we hope the White Doe feels like.

Our guests went on to call the Inn beautiful, charming, peaceful and magical — and told us they were already planning their return trip before they’d even left.

That’s the part that means the most to Dave and me.

We want the White Doe to be more than a beautiful place to sleep. We want it to be the place where you slow down, feel cared for, eat a really good breakfast, wander into Manteo, and leave feeling a little better than when you arrived.

And apparently the breakfasts earned a “Mama Mia!” — which I’ll happily take. 😊

Thank you, Sara & Brett. We’ll be waiting for your return. ❤️

There's something magic about a small wedding. 🕊️

This past weekend we had the joy of hosting Wendi & Matt's intimate celebration — just the people who matter most, a garden full of hydrangea-and-daisy bouquets, and a whole lot of happy tears. From vows on the deck to cake and toasts, capped off by a warm reception surrounded by the people they love most, it was a full day of "loving people, however they come into our orbit."

Congratulations, Wendi & Matt — we're so glad you chose White Doe Inn for this one. 💛
