They cancelled the tornado warning for our county , but stay alert today as it looks like more storms are rolling in later this afternoon, as always we will keep everyone updated

We just got an alert our area is in a tornado warning , our storm shelter area is open for anyone who would like to shelter , it is the brick building in our overnight section.

A message from Tom :

Dear Staff, Campers, and Guests,

As I take a minute to stop and recap the crazy last two days, I would like to take the time to recognize some very important people.

I want to thank my entire staff for all of their hard work this weekend and for overcoming every challenge that was put in our way: extreme heat, no power, and no water. Even with nothing going our way, this amazing crew was able to pull off every event and activity with a smile and a great attitude. Because of your dedication, we had beautiful fireworks, an outstanding parade, creative crafts, and a great band.

I would also like to thank our campers and guests. Our community pulled together for every need that we asked—from a guest bringing porta potties, to our campers going out and buying generators to power their own campers, their neighbors' refrigerators, and providing cool air for the elderly neighbor that everybody loves. I am so grateful for your patience, understanding, and the kind words of support you offered to our staff.

When I woke up this morning, I was certain that this was going to be a 4th of July I would like to forget. However, after witnessing all these wonderful people putting on events and helping each other all day long on America's 250th birthday, it made it clear why America has lasted so long and what it truly means to be an American. This will be a holiday I will never forget.
