Update: apparently a 250 sq. ft tiny home is not legal.

We purchased a few months ago. We applied for a deck permit last month and now are informed that we have 45 days to take it down because it 1) doesn't meet minimum size requirements 2) is on a lot line 3) was not permitted. The lots are both ours. Minimum lot size in the area is 5 acres now. I have 2 one acre lots.
