Why do the blades fold?

So nothing slows you down. Nick, who runs foil lessons out of our cabana, shows it on the Foil Drive. Motor on, the prop opens and pushes you. Let off and the blades fold back, so they don't catch the water and work like a brake.

Where do families actually stay in the Florida Keys?

Not a hotel room. Not a rental where you drive to everything.

The Conch House is your own place. Two or three bedrooms with doors that close, a full kitchen, a balcony over the water. Then you walk outside and the Keys are already there. Groceries at Land and Sea Market, kayaks and paddleboards at the water, a family pool, an adults-only pool, live music most weeks.

You will still have to make breakfast. The market is at the front door.
