Our hearts are with everyone affected by the recent flash flooding in the Grand Canyon. We’re deeply grateful to the rangers, rescue crews, and park staff who brought so many people to safety.

For those with questions: the flooding occurred in the Bright Angel Creek and Phantom Ranch area of the inner canyon. The Marble Canyon and Lees Ferry area was not impacted, and Grand Canyon National Park remains open. Please follow GrandCanyonNPS for current conditions.

Join us for Birds & Brews, a free community evening at Marble Canyon Lodge benefiting the California Condors.

Friday, August 21, from 5 to 8 PM. No entry fee. Come out for cold b**r, food off the grill from the Lonely JackRabbit, music, and lawn games, all under the Vermilion Cliffs. Families welcome.

The Peregrine Fund will be here to share the story of these birds and answer questions. In 1982 there were 22 California Condors left on the planet. Today more than 500 fly wild and around 100 of them live in this area. A portion of food sales goes to the Peregrine Fund and their work protecting these birds.

Historic Brewing Co. is coming out from Flagstaff to pour their Lone Rock Summer Ale, and proceeds from every can support Glen Canyon Conservancy. The Conservancy team will be here too, so come say hello and hear about the work they do around Lees Ferry and Glen Canyon.
