1. A see-through wall
Everyone said guests would feel exposed. turns out when you’re a hundred acres deep in the Hill Country, exposed just means falling asleep with the stars, and waking up in the treetops, no curtain between you and any of it. (Unless you want the curtain… we did put those in too).
2. We gave you a proper grill, not a hot plate
Everyone said keep it simple- a mini fridge and a microwave would do. We added a Blackstone grill at the shelters instead. Cook a real dinner, then carry it straight to the deck.
3. We gave every dome its own deck
Everyone said a shared deck would save space. We gave each dome its own instead- some straight off the door, some reached by crossing a rope bridge first. Either way, it’s yours, and it’s where some of the greatest getaway moments happen- picture dinner as the sky turns orange, then gold, then dark.
4. We built a hot tub into every single one
Everyone said keep it simple, skip the complication. We didn’t listen. picture this: the water’s warm, the air’s gone cool, and above you it’s just trees and stars- just you and your person, nothing else.
5. The private ensuite bathroom
Everyone said a full ensuite wasn’t worth building this far out. we put one in every dome anyway. No walk to a shared bathhouse in the dark- just the two of you and total privacy start to finish for your trip.
Most people don’t realize that a romantic nature escape doesn’t have to mean ‘roughing it’- which amenity surprises you the most?
