With Earth Day coming up, it seems like a great time to tell you about a few of the things that make our B&B a little more environmentally friendly.
We use locally-made products whenever we can. We welcome all guests with Me & the Bees Lemonade which is made in Austin and comes in recyclable glass bottles. We leave these in the fridge for guests so they'll be nice and cold on check-in.

I recently discovered Volleman's dairy in Gustine, Texas - and I'm so excited to spread the word about them! I started with their little bottles of half & half that we provide all guests for their coffee. (Tiny bottle with purple lid on the right - isn't it cute?!)

Then I discovered they also have milk & orange juice, so when guests request those with breakfast, I always get Volleman's. There's a $2 deposit for each bottle, but I get that back when I return the empty bottle to (old school, right? :-) And, SO much better for the environment than more plastic jugs that end up in the landfill!

Plus, Volleman's is a family farm that values animal welfare and sustainability.
(Side note - I'm completely addicted to their current seasonal flavored horchata milk that makes my morning tea incredibly delicious!)
