Spirit Springs Campground Spirit Springs is a beautiful, intimate, 17-site campground nestled in the quiet, rolling hills of Pure Michigan. Making memories to last a lifetime.

Though small, we prioritize your: restoration, relaxation, and revitalization for you and yours. We are CLOSED FOR THE SEASON! We will RE-OPEN May 21, 2026. Check-in time is 2:00 PM at SSC, check-out will be at 11 am on Sunday. (With exception to holiday weekends) We are currently only open from Thursday evening until Sunday. In exception to holiday weekends. You can visit our reservation site

Please call at standard office hours 8-5pm..we will not be accepting calls, emails, or messages after 5 pm. We are also closed to any calls or messages on Sunday. Please respect our time. (TIA)

Friendly reminder- it'll be easier to program your GPS to go to Spirit Springs Campground , rather than our address since our home shares the same physical address. Our campground drive is marked by our canoe signs.

What a magnificent way to say goodbye to August and hello to September.

I have seen more rainbows on our property in the last several years, than I have ever seen in my life.

Last night was just what I needed in this busy week ahead. A moment to pause, To thank God, and to reflect.

Did you see the absolutely amazing display last night? The rainbow(s) were so massive they wouldn't fit entirely into my photos, no matter how hard I tried. And I couldn't miss a second so I refused to run inside for a different lens.

Anddd it begins...

Personally, I am not really mentally prepared for fall to be here, but I better get ready because it's coming!!!

As the nights cool, and the days stay warm, katydids and locusts sing the chorus of the end of summer.. and the leaves begin to trickle down.. autumn is on the cusp.

Ready or not September arrives next week. We remain open through mid October!!

Cathy first came to stay with us for a week in 2025 and ended up staying for two months. This season we were so excited that she chose to spend time at SSC again, this time for a one month stay..

Cathy Turner , we truly appreciate you and your patronage and your friendship; we love having you here. I'm genuinely so sad the month is already up. It feels like it went by so quickly this year.

We often forget what our property used to look like when we first moved to the campground and started renovating. It took a few years for us to get to this project but this building in the photo is now our office and camp store.

What was unfinished on the inside, We finished, removed the old fifth wheel and attached my beloved Avion. We repainted the exterior to look cohesive with our other buildings that we had already painted. We moved the little building pictured- out - and in its place a little A-frame now stands for our boat rental items.

It has come such a long way and sometimes when I stumble across photos I just need to post them again to remind myself and Jr of all of our hard work, but also give each of you a glimpse into what we have done on the property.

This is now "The Canteen" and we have worked so hard to proudly turn it into our office space and Camp store. Though, it is not a large building by any means... It holds a lot of love and thought... For our kiddos and adults alike.

We had so much fun yesterday walking and repping the campground in our local The Bluegill Frolic parade.
It was an unpredictable morning and we weren't sure if we wanted to walk in the parade if it was going to be storming (it was supposed to) and we had to consider those who were participating with us.

So per our normal, things started off a bit chaotic not knowing what to do weather wise but ended on such a fun note..

I dropped the ball on getting many photos and videos but that only means I was truly present 💝

We had a lot of fun and we have truly loved having seasonals the last few years. They have quickly become like family and we adore each of you. . Thank you for making our 2026 season extra special.

---Ps a special shout out to "Fidgety the Frog" AKA Michelle. She was a rockstar in the heat and humidity and it made my whole morning better just watching her. 🤗😂🐸 It was so much fun seeing Pete, the kids and Brittany have fun too. And seeing the rest of their family and so many smiling faces lined up alongside mainstreet made everything worthwhile
When the kiddos (and Mom) got off the kayak at the frolic entrance to meet family, Pete And I rode the kayak back and Fidgety the Frog got a much needed break from hopping through Marcellus.
