The island is six miles long and four miles wide. Connected to the mainland by two bridges.

Hello everyone; we are thankful Hurricane Milton’s storm surge was smaller than expected. Lost power, phones and internet most of today but we will be open again tomorrow at 9am. Prayers to our neighbors up north that were affected by Milton and a speedy recovery.

The City of Marco Island is looking forward to celebrating Independence Day with residents and visitors. The following is important information from the City: • Fireworks: The City is hosting a fireworks display on July 4th at approximately 9:00pm. Fireworks will launch from a barge situated off the coast between Tigertail Beach and South Beach. • Fireworks are not permitted within City limits. Marco Island has high density neighborhoods which creates a high risk for fires and personal injury while using fireworks. We also work hard to protect eagles, owls, turtles, and other species. Please enjoy the City’s fireworks show and do not set off fireworks on your own. • Parking: Vehicles must not block the road to wait for parking spaces. Some residential streets are marked indicating that parking in the swales is prohibited. Vehicles that are parked illegally will be ticketed and are subject to being towed. • Trash: Beaches are crowded on holiday weekends. We ask beach-goers to put trash in the receptacles or pack it up and take it with you. Littering on the beach is a violation of the City’s code and is subject to a fine.

• Noise: Marco Island noise ordinance will be enforced and there are no warnings given after 10:00pm. Any concerns related to noise should be reported to the Marco Island Police Department at 239-389-5050. • Beaches: We are now in sea turtle nesting season. If you dig holes or build sand structures on the beach, please fill in the holes and remove any obstacles that could create a false crawl for our sea turtles. This Fourth of July we want to celebrate with residents and visitors to commemorate the birth of our great country. Please stay safe, enjoy our beautiful Island, and when you visit the beach, leave only footprints.

Winterberry Beach Access Closed!

Due to the recent closure of the Winterberry Beach Boardwalk.
Marco Island Police Department would like to remind our citizens and visitors to use either, Maple Avenue
or Swallow Avenue beach accesses.
The City Of Marco Island has closed the Winterberry Beach Boardwalk Access due to safety issues that were discovered from the recent heavy rainfall and storm surge that Marco Island encountered last week. The repairs are estimated to take two weeks. We will provide you with updates when they become available.

Our Story

Since June of 1990; Marco Island Rental Properties has been family owned and operated. Owner and Broker Maria Schilke along with her sister Adele who has been a rental agent for over 20 years. They have been joined by her son Andre’ who is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and the company front desk manager and social media/marketing manager. He also is our electronics guru that can almost fix any issues with cable and internet in our vacation rentals. His wife Cindy also works for the company as a rental agent and does the payments for the company. Maythe who is like a family member has been with us for over 10 years as well and works in accounts receivable. We will do everything we can to make sure you have a great place to stay and make your vacation experience hassle free.
