Our Brother Michael McCabe made arrangements for the Georgia Masonic Children’s Home to attend the Gwinnett Stripers baseball game today. The kids also enjoyed an opportunity to play catch in the outfield. Thank you to Brother McCabe for organizing the activity, and to all the brethren who were able to participate.

The brothers really enjoyed the pork loin last night, so here is the recipe. I used fresh rosemary and fresh thyme, since that's what I had available. Keep in mind this makes approximately 20 pounds or pork loin! (Scaled down version in comments.) Enjoy!

Step back in time with us...

Before PowerPoint. Before movie projectors. Even before 35mm slides...

Masonic lodges throughout America used Magic Lantern Slides—beautiful hand-painted glass images projected onto a screen—to teach the symbolism and lessons of the Entered Apprentice Degree.

On Tuesday, September 1, Kennesaw Lodge No. 33 will revive this historic tradition with a special presentation of the Entered Apprentice Magic Lantern Lecture, recreated from the original slides and lecture notes.

While many Masons have heard of these presentations, very few have ever had the opportunity to experience one. In fact, this style of instruction is rarely seen in Georgia today.

Whether you're a newly made Mason or have been in the Craft for decades, you'll gain a new appreciation for the timeless symbolism of the Entered Apprentice Degree.

Come enjoy an evening of history, education, and fellowship as we rediscover one of Freemasonry's forgotten teaching traditions.

Two candidates. One important first step in Masonry.

Next Tuesday evening, Kennesaw Lodge No. 33 will have the privilege of conferring the Entered Apprentice Degree on two candidates as they begin their Masonic journeys.

We would love to see a full Lodge room for the occasion. There are few better ways to welcome new Brothers into the Craft than to surround them with Brethren who remember the significance of taking that same first step themselves.

If you are a Brother from Kennesaw No. 33 or a neighboring Lodge, please make plans to join us. Come enjoy good food and fellowship, support our degree team, and most importantly, help us give these two candidates a Masonic welcome they will remember.

What is the purpose of Masonic research?

Is it simply to preserve our history... or should it challenge us to think more deeply about who we are as Freemasons today?

Join the Georgia Lodge of Research this Friday evening for a thought-provoking presentation by Brother Daniel W. Robinson, Grand Orator of the Grand Lodge of Alabama, entitled:

"The Quality of Research & Masons in Modern Society"

Brother Robinson explores questions every Mason should consider:
• Is historical research the destination, or merely the foundation?
• How do symbolism, philosophy, and allegory shape better men?
• Are we preserving Masonry's past while preparing it for the future?
• What role should quality play in our research, education, and membership?

Whether you're passionate about Masonic history, symbolism, philosophy, or simply enjoy a good discussion among Brethren, this promises to be an engaging evening.

Kennesaw Lodge No. 33 hopes everyone had a happy Fourth of July and extends a sincere thank‑you to all who supported our Independence Day breakfast fundraiser in Marietta.

It was a great morning of food, fellowship, and patriotism as the celebration rolled right past the lodge, and we are grateful to the Brethren, families, friends, and members of the community who joined us and helped make the event a success.

Your support strengthens our ability to serve others and to continue the Masonic work of building better men, better families, and stronger communities here in Marietta.

One of the greatest joys in Freemasonry is seeing generations connected through the Craft.

At our regular communication this week, we were pleased to welcome our newest Master Mason to his first stated meeting since being raised to the Sublime Degree on Saturday morning.

What made the occasion especially meaningful was a presentation by his father, who shared the Masonic history of their family, including stories and mementos from his grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-uncle, all of whom were Masons. It was a moving reminder that while Masonry teaches timeless principles, it is also a living tradition passed from one generation to the next.

The evening was filled with fellowship, reflection, and appreciation for the bonds that unite us as Brothers.

Congratulations again to our newest Master Mason. We look forward to sharing many years of Masonic labor and fellowship with you.
