We have 110 campsites with tent, electric, and full hook-ups available. We are located by hiking and biking trails, and beautiful beaches - Come See Us! The City-owned and operated Tourist Park is located approximately 1/2 mile north of Wright Street on Sugar Loaf Avenue on the north edge of the City. Fronting the Dead River, this nicely wooded 40 acre park provides visitors with a clean, pleasant

and convenient place to camp in the immediate Marquette area. There are approximately 20 acres of campground space with 110 camping sites. One hundred sites provide electrical hookups to accommodate RVs and trailers with the remainder being designed for primitive style tenting. Each camping site has a picnic table and barbecue pits are available throughout the campground. There are 38 sites with water, electric, and sewer service. 10 of those full service sites are 50 amp sites. There are also 57, 30 amp electric only sites available, 4 water & electric sites, and 11 rustic campsites. Campground facilities also include hot showers, restrooms/flush toilets, sanitary dump stations and paved roads. The campground has a two small playgrounds, grills, grassy open space, hiking trails, and three large picnic areas. It is one mile from Lake Superior beaches, next to the City bike path, as well as near the Noquemanon Trail Network--miles of unpaved access to hikers, mountain bikers and runners. Tourist Park is the site of the annual Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival. There is a $7.00 reservation fee with a 14 night limit on reservations. Reservations can be made at anytime online or by calling the office phone number during business hours. Online reservations must be made at least five days in advance of when you want to camp. The season begins in May and lasts through October, depending on weather. Professional staff are able to assist with questions and provide brochures for your needs. We ask all campers to please abide by the Tourist Park rules and policies.

Reservations for the 2026 camping season open on Monday, January 5th, 2026 at 8:00am Eastern Time. The 2026 camping season will be May 22 to October 18.

The campground had officially CLOSED for the 2025 season. We are closed for all services including pump-outs, fill-ups, showers, etc. The entrance road is closed for construction as well. Everyone have a great winter...we can't wait to see you next May!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE/PRESENTATION FOR PARKS AND RECREATION 5-YEAR MASTERPLAN
The community is invited to participate in two open house events with Parks and Recreation Consultant Richard Horton:

Wednesday, July 17 & Thursday, July 18 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Lakeview Arena, Citizens Forum401 E Fair Ave Marquette

The Wednesday event will be an interactive drop-in style open house with opportunities to share priorities and preferences in our parks. The Thursday event will be a presentation by Mr. Horton. Both events will provide community members an opportunity to speak with the consultant, receive information, see outcomes from stakeholder meetings, comment and respond regarding the City of
Marquette Parks and Recreation 5-Year Master Plan.
