The Inn is Perched on a hill offering stunning views of the French Broad River as it flows through picturesque downtown Marshall. The Marshall House Inn is a unique mansion built as a private residence in 1903 and listed on the national register of historic places. Designed by the supervising architect of the Biltmore Estate, Richard Sharp Smith, the house is built in the English vernacular style being covered in Roughcast or pebbledash. The house was converted into a 'Tourist Home' in the 1920s and has been welcoming guests to Marshall ever since. Our 2016 renovations have updated the inn by infusing it with a 21st century aesthetic while still honoring the rich history of the house.
