Estate Rental Information

At Smithonia By The Sea we have two units available for booking your next vacation or event. Contact June @ 252-241-8066 M-F 9am-6pm

The principle estate home is 4000 sq. feet. It has four bedrooms and three and a half baths. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a chef would need to whip up any culinary delight imaginable.

We provide cable TV and wifi for both properties. There are flat screen TV's, DVD players, DVD's and stereos available for your enjoyment. We've provided board games, cards and books for the kids. There are cards, checkers and chess boards set up and ready to play for the adventurous soul in the game room. Each property has balconies with a table and chairs to enjoy the views and fresh salt air.

A grill is available upon request. Bicycles and Kayaks are available for rental at a reasonable rate for your entire stay.

​The downstairs property is a one bedroom, one bath apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and a living and dining room.

For your convenience we provide a washer & dryer, hair dryer, as well as an iron & ironing board in both properties.

Our coastal area has some of the finest fresh caught seafood in the World such as fresh tuna, mahi-mahi, flounder, oysters, green tailed shrimp and scallops just to name a few and are available in the many five star local seafood restaurants. As a bonus while staying at Smithonia By The Sea you can fish, crab, and gather oysters and clams right from your very own private dock. If boating is your thing, you can visit the Cape Lookout Lighthouse or Shackleford Banks with their wild horses at your leisure which is just a 20 min boat ride. You can pack a picnic lunch and spend the day exploring the Lighthouse or pick up shells on the beach where both the sound side & Oceanside is accessible for fun in the sun and surf. We offer the rental of bicycles and kayaks for leisurely fun and exercise while you explore and enjoy the sites.
