A hopeful sign for the coming year. We have lived here since 1976 and fed the birds each and every year. This fellow graced us this morning. This is only the second time in all of these years.

I quickly made French toast and hot drinks this morning. We sat down at the breakfast table just like guests. We hardly ever do that. And then this!!! Red belly male. Awesome. 2nd lifetime sighting..both times in the last two weeks.

Now to get cracking.

The last pot is cooking. Fruitlands organic applesauce 2025 for the 2026 Bed And Breakfast season plus a bit for us and for family gifts. Our tomato mill from Italy is simply the best piece of equipment for this! The flavors and colors of our apple mixture are superb.

Wednesday, October 29 - Open all day. We have a few gallons of our delicious organic apple cider left as well as the last bags of organic Cortlands.

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday. A lot of cider and apples went to new homes!
