Awaiting the next winter storm with the possibility of 4 to 8 more inches of snow here on "The Hill", and we're praying that our power and heat stay on! After this past week's ice storm, every inch of the property was transformed into a lovely but dangerous, 2 " thick personal ice rink..but alas, neither one of us can skate! And, although it's freezing and the predictions are ominous for this weekend, you can't help but see the beauty in it. The view from the front door glass now is magical and serene, a calm before the storm-- where the ice rink shimmers and glows in peaceful repose. A quiet winter's eve at Stuart Hill Bed & Breakfast in southwest Virginia.
