π November 5, 2025 β The Beaver Supermoon
Get ready for the brightest and largest full moon of the entire year! Known as the Beaver Moon, this stunning full moon marks the time when beavers prepare their lodges for the winter β and in 2025, it will also be a supermoon, appearing bigger and more luminous than usual.
β¨ What makes it special?
This yearβs Beaver Moon coincides with the Moonβs closest approach to Earth (perigee), making it appear up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than an average full moon. Its golden glow will beautifully light up the late-autumn night sky.
π³ Best time to watch:
Look to the eastern horizon just after sunset on November 5. The Moon will rise in breathtaking size β especially dramatic when viewed behind leafless trees or over open landscapes.
π Tip for photographers:
Capture the Moon as it rises low β its warm color and illusion of size will make for incredible shots.
