This weekend, Jamestown becomes the comedy capital of the world. Again. 🖤

The Lucille Ball Comedy Festival returns August 6–9 — Jerry Seinfeld, Bert Kreischer, Seth Meyers, and 50+ live events taking over Lucy's hometown at the National Comedy Center.

And the family behind Chautauqua Heights Manor has roots here that go deeper than most people know.

The Olsen Family are Jamestown natives — originally from California, but so captivated by Chautauqua that they've spent over 20 years coming back, and eventually never left. They own this estate. This community is theirs.

And Christopher Olsen wrote the book on it. 📚

Lucy Comes Home — published in 2018 — is his photographic chronicle of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz's return to Jamestown in February 1956 for the premiere of their MGM film Forever Darling. His mother, Janice Swanson, was Lucy's Homecoming Queen during that visit — chosen from more than 14,000 votes.

He called it a love letter to his mother and to Lucy. 💌
