💡Do you know Texas' history?

In the 1820s, Mexico encouraged American settlers to migrate to Texas, hoping to boost the region's economy. However, tensions escalated, leading to the Texas Revolution in 1835, culminating in the defeat of Mexican forces at the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836.

Eventually, in 1845, Texas was annexed by the United States, leading to further disputes with Mexico over the exact boundaries. The 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, ending the Mexican-American War, ceded vast territories, including Texas, to the United States.

The historical process of land acquisition from the Mexicans in Texas remains a subject of deep reflection and debate in modern times, highlighting the importance of understanding and acknowledging the complexities and injustices of the past.
