As ice cream aficionados, all our neighbors recommended we check out Tom's Ice Cream Bowl, and it did not disappoint! Only 20 minutes from camp and a great place to enjoy a sweet treat 🍨

Last weekend, we had a great time bringing our three year old niece to Jesse Owens State Park, about a 30 minute drive from camp, to pan for gemstones! This is an affordable and fun activity for families and was a blast for our crew!

We loved this gem in downtown Zanesville -- The Downtown Exchange, a food hall with different types of vendors and great vibes. This spot is great for a rainy day or when you don't feel like cooking over a campfire!

There's a wild relic of Appalachian Ohio history just a 25 minute drive from The Bright Spot -- the Big Muskie Bucket! This was part of working mining equipment for many years before it became a tourist attraction, and the size is pretty spectacular in person. Definitely worth a trip next time you visit us!
