We have just The Christie Suite left for next weekend — and there’s a lovely little reason to make the trip.

Saturday, the historic barn studio of Ohio artist Howard Chandler Christy will open its doors in nearby Blue Rock for a special Ohio Open Doors event.

The Eberlein has found its blue. 💙

Same beautiful old floors. Same iron bed. Same character.

But after a little reimagining, this room feels entirely different.

We traded the soft green for layers of blue, added linen curtains, a cozy leather loveseat, a little table for two, and brought in collected blue-and-white china, silver and pieces that feel as though they belong in an old house.

Because when you’re caring for an inn that dates to 1835, we don’t think everything needs to be made new.

Sometimes it just needs a new chapter.

The Robisons returned for their Fourth of July tradition.

The Martins came back to a place that has become part of their family story.

And pictured here, the Ramers filled the Inn with love and laughter during their sibling retreat.

For a few days this summer, the Inn became the family home for these families.
