We are so darn proud of our ratings and how our guests love the home! Thank you Allegheny College for being such an incredible group of people and faculty members. We now have hundreds of positive reviews across Air bnb, Expedia, booking.com, VRBO, Google reviews and here on Facebook.

Highland Guesthouse and its location is a gem and we couldn’t be happier of what we have continued with this lovely historical Victorian house in the beautiful town of Meadville, PA.

We wanted to share with you that Highland B & B follows a family tradition. In 1983 Shane’s grandparents and Christine’s parents Bob Cowan & Teddie Roofner Cowan opened a B & B in Grove City across the street from Grove City College. They had traveled extensively in New England and loved the experience of staying in a B and B over a hotel. They purchased a house that had a rich history and restored it as well. They called it “The Red Rose Inn.” They ran it for several years and later it was sold and remained a B and B for several more years until the college bought it. Check out the pictures below from the Sharon Herald from 1985.
