Root Beer Float Day at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital! 🥳🍺
Our TownePlace Suites Harrisburg West – Mechanicsburg team partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to serve up classic root beer floats — $5 each, with 100% of the proceeds going straight to the kids.
Why root beer floats? Because Marriott’s story started in 1927 as a tiny 9-seat root beer stand called Hot Shoppes. We love bringing that history to life while supporting families right here in the Harrisburg-Hershey area.
Huge thanks to our amazing team and everyone who stopped by to grab a float and support such an important cause. And to some Rock Star Miracle Kids who we had the honor of meeting and enjoying one ‘on the house’. Moments like these are why we do what we do.

It was an exciting weekend at TPS… Saturday was our resident Easter Bunny Perry’s Annual Golden Egg Hunt and Spring Potluck! And Sunday we partnered with our friends at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA in Hershey, providing an Easter potluck dinner for families with kids receiving treatment at Penn State Childrens Hospital. All in network with Marriott’s partnership with the Children's Miracle Network.

So much food, fun and community connection! We are honored and proud to share and celebrate with valued associates and partners.
