** UPDATED INFO: any oar you want. Does not have to be made of cardboard!

We’re not quite sure why there’s so much confusion about the Cardboard Box Regatta 😅😉 so here’s the rundown one more time:

The race starts at 11:00 AM. Please show up a couple of hours beforehand so you have plenty of time to get checked in, get your boat situated, and be ready to race.

Your boat needs to be built BEFORE you arrive and may be made from CARDBOARD + DUCT TAPE ONLY.

And yes - you need to find and purchase your own supplies. We are not supplying your cardboard, duct tape, oars, or building materials. This is a free event, not a charity. 😂

You CAN paint your boat.
You CANNOT waterproof it. 😉 Yep - we’ve shared that information too.

You’ll also need to:

* Bring and wear your own life vest
* Bring your own oar
* Bring your already-built cardboard masterpiece
* Show up ready to have a ridiculously good time

That’s it. It’s really not complicated. This is literally just a FREE, FUN community event where you build a questionable boat out of cardboard, put it in the water, and see how far you make it.

We’ve got some pretty RAD prizes waiting, with three first-place categories:
