In response to the July 4th flood, the staff of The Kerrville Daily Times took on a mission that went far beyond reporting the news. We became witnesses—tasked not just with documenting what happened, but with preserving what it meant. Over the past several months, our team has worked tirelessly to create a publication that captures this pivotal moment in our history with accuracy, compassion, and heart.

The result is Guadalupe Rising: The Kerr County July 4th Flood—a 156-page commemorative magazine that stands as a tribute to all we lost, all we endured, and all we’ve begun to rebuild.

Apparently a lightning bolt hit one of our Hackberry trees and a limb colasped over our Hot Tub Pergola. Thanks to the sturdiness and well built construction by Roy Hobbs, the damage was neglible. Rosy and I were able to cut up the downed limb and put it away.
