Northern Maine is a great place to explore! If you haven’t been to the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument you should plan an adventure!

We are so excited to share that Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument has posted their summer hours for Tekakapimək Contact Station, beginning Friday, May 22nd! You can visit this summer:

Sunday and Monday: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
Tuesday and Wednesday: Closed
Thursday-Saturday: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

The contact station is generally open from the Friday of Memorial Day weekend through Indigenous People's Day. However, keep an eye on the park service website as these dates are subject to change. More info here: https://www.nps.gov/kaww/planyourvisit/visitorcenters.htm
