From the Innkeeper 👩🏾‍💻

Before guests arrive for the weekend, the house begins to wake up. Fresh linens are folded, flowers are arranged, breakfast ingredients are prepped, rooms are polished, and every detail is looked over one more time.

Hospitality is often the work guests never see—and that’s part of the magic.

By the time you walk through the doors, my hope is that everything feels effortless, warm, and ready for you to simply enjoy.

For many years, these halls helped shape creativity in Memphis.

Before becoming the luxury inn and event venue it is today, The James Lee House once served as home to the Memphis College of Art. Students moved through these historic rooms with sketchbooks, ideas, and imagination—adding another remarkable chapter to the story of this house.

Today, that same spirit of beauty and inspiration still lives here… now through celebrations, gatherings, and unforgettable stays.
