JUNE 13, 2024. THURSDAY. 23 DAY COUNTDOWN
ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY
GOD’S MANUAL FOR LIVING YOUR LIFE

It is late, 7am, I slept well last night. I have been able to turn the Church over to GOD, and now I sleep. Yesterday was a good day. One of my readers, a CPA got the EIN number for the Church, so that we can open a Bank Account. If someone will just step up and be the Treasurer. I will not handle money or write checks. I am holding the checks that have been sent to me, until there is a Treasurer. We will get a 501C status, to stay legal with the government, which will make all tithes and offerings tax deductible. JESUS said, “render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s”. We will not owe any taxes, but we need to stay in good with the government as long as possible. That will probably come to an end in the future.

1ST KINGS 11:1-12:19:

Drama, do you have drama in your life and your family? No matter, what it might be, it is not as bad as it was in Solomon’s family.

The Bible says, “Solomon was the wisest man to ever live.” But he did some stupid stuff. GOD created two institutions, the first one was marriage, “one man and one woman for life.” The second institution being the Church.

Many of you have been married, more than once and some of you are divorced and not married. Divorce has been in existence since the time of Moses. In Moses time, a man could divorce his wife, almost like getting rid of any other piece of property. In most cases, women were considered property of the husband. That is not the way set it up with Adam and Eve. By the way, GOD said, it was to be Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. It is not GOD’s design that we have divorce. But it is a fact. Maybe because some marriages should never have happened, in the first place. I guess you could say, that if Solomon couldn’t get it right, how can you?

Back in the 1980’s, I preached a sermon in a revival, called, “Divorce is NOT the Unpardonable Sin.” A deacon in that church, leaving the service tells me, “You did not preach the Bible, tonight.” I have always preached what GOD has shown me. I did not argue with him, but I did not change what I preached.

If you are divorced, GOD will forgive you for not doing it HIS way, but you might have to live with the consequences. If there are children involved, it will be a lifelong drama.

A huge part of the problem with our society today, it the home with an absent father. A study, many years ago, said that the first two years of a child’s life, the mother is the greatest influence. After that and for the rest of its life, the father is the greatest influence. It is hard and almost impossible for a father to be an influence, if he is not there.

V3: Solomon’s family was a colossal mess. He was married to the daughter of the Egyptian Pharoah; she was the queen. But the Bible say he also had seven hundred other wives and three hundred concubines. I am not going to try to explain that. I can’t to the satisfaction of most people. It does say, he loved them, which might have been infatuation. I seriously doubt he even knew the names of all of them. I’ll bet Christmas, had there been Christmas, would have been a headache. Imagine going shopping for presents with each one and getting the “equal” present for all your kids.

The Bible is full of stories of men, who were GOD’s chosen. But they were also human and human are really good at disobeying GOD and messing up their lives. Some get a second chance as some of you have.

The problem here is GOD said to marry one woman, and Solomon did not do what GOD said. He was also supposed to marry with the nation of Israel. The result was GOD punished him, by destroying Solomon’s kingdom. I don’t understand why he did it to Solomon’s son and not to Solomon, even though GOD had promised David, that Solomon would be King his entire life.

V11: “GOD said to Solomon: “Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my decrees, which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you.” GOD said that when HE did, HE would leave one tribe for the sake of David.

It is interesting that David, started out his Kingdom in a mess and ended, with a changed heart, seeking to really serve GOD. And Solomon started out with everything good and messed it up by turning against GOD and worshipping the gods of his pagan wives.

Compared to Solomon, we are in the same boat. America started out as a Christian nation, then under the idea of “freedom” of religion, we allowed every religion there is to be practiced in America, including the worship of satan. The idea of “freedom of religion” was that you could not be forced to worship in a state church, as was done in the Church of England.

Anything good that GOD can put into existence, man can mess up, in a big way. Look at all the denominations today. Look withing the denominations. The Southern Baptist Convention has become like our federal government, pushing programs and padding the positions of the leadership and leaders within the convention. They are always creating “new programs” in put into the churches, so they can keep a job. GOD’s progam is simple, “As YOU go, witness to others what GOD has done in your life.” And leave the results up to the HOLY SPIRIT. WE have done so much Bible Study in Sunday School and home Bible studies, and yet very little to no results for the Kingdom of GOD. The Convention today, is much like the Priests in the time of the Temple, out to protect their paychecks.

The State Convention has a program today, that when a Church gets without a pastor, if the Church wants assistance from the State, they will send a man out every Sunday for a couple of months or so, to preach and to guide a “pastor search committee”. Sounds good, but there is a catch. The Church is already contributing to the man’s salary by their giving to the State Convention, but the Church still has to pay him for coming. Seems like double paying, kinda like the government.

I offered in one Church to teach a Sunday School class. But I told them, I would not teach the literature they had, I was going to teach the One Year Bible. They wouldn’t let me teach the class. Oh, I know what some will say, “you could get off into any kind of doctrine that was in in agreement with the Church. You can do that anyway. You cannot protect the Church from the devil. Look at all the splits today.

GOD will protect HIS true Church, all others will one day give an account.

Well enough of reality. Back to Solomon.

V14: “Then the Lord raised up against Solomon an adversary.” There are those today, that want to say, “GOD does not do bad things to his children.” They must not have read the Old Testament. By the way, it was GOD who sent JESUS to the Cross. It don’t get any worse than that.

There are those who want to rely on “GOD IS IN CONTROL.” I see the signs everywhere and they want to think that nothing bad is going to happen to Christians personally. Have they not read the New Testament? The first century Christians were persecuted in the worse of ways. Even after that, some were persecuted and martyred by Churches. GOD was also in control when HE sent the Babylonians in to kill and capture and carry off as slaves, for 70 years.

Christians need to read the Bible, when it says, we should fear GOD, that means we should fear GOD and what HE can do to “us”.

You can read the rest of the drama in Solomon’s life today. I gotta move on to the Acts.

ACTS 9:1-25:

Here is an example of the persecution of the Church in the first century. Saul stands by as Stephen is being stoned to death, for sharing the Gospel. He then letters giving him authority to gather up Christians and have them put to death. Where did he get the letters? From the Priests of the Temple.

But Saul had a “face to face” encounter with GOD. Saul did not actually see HIM, but he did talk to HIM. If you are a Christian, you have had an encounter with GOD. Maybe in a quieter way, maybe not. If you don’t know of an encounter, then you are not saved and are headed to hell.

V13: GOD sent Ananias to Saul to instruct Him in what Saul was to do for GOD.

GOD can put us into situations that we are afraid to be in, but if HE sends us, HE has it taken care of. Ananias feared for his life, but he went anyway.

Saul was healed of his blindness. Maybe the three days gave him some time to think about what he had done. Once he was filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, which you now get the moment you are saved, he began to do what GOD told him to do.

But before he began preaching, he did what JESUS intended for all of us to do. He was baptized.

V23: “After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him.” When the work of GOD is being done, there will always be the devil trying to disrupt and stop it. It always happens in Churches, who are reaching the lost. I saw it in all my former Churches and this one will be no different.

As careful as I try to organize it and watch over it, the devil will still show up.

PSALMS 131:1-3:

This really speaks to me today, “I like a weaned child, I am content.”

V3: “Israel, put you hope in the LORD both now and forevermore.” They need to do this like never before.

JUNE 10, 2024 MONDAY 26 DAY COUNTDOWN
ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY
GOD’S MANUAL FOR LIVING YOUR LIFE

1ST KINGS 7:1-51:

Solomon like all men, even though he was the wisest to ever live, lavished himself with the finest of possessions. It took him 7 years to build the Temple and 13 years to build his palace. He also has a Court House built with the palace complex as well as a palace for his wife, Pharaoh’s daughter. It seems to be the nature of those in high political places to go over the top with their homes and other houses, at the expense of the people. It is ironic to talk of Solomon’s building project, when it is going to take a few put together a physical church, while I am building a new house for Martha and me, that will take a year. But in my case the house will not be large and lavish, it’s just that I am slow. And the Church is actually the people who come to the physical building, will be an ongoing building.

Beginning in verse 13: we have the description of the work of building the Temple and the things used in the Temple for the sacrifices.

You can read of the details in today’s passage.

ACTS 7:30-50:

Stephen continues to tell the High Priest and others of the Temple Court, the history of Israel. He tells of the calling of Moses, who was 80 years old. He was 40 years old when he killed the Egyptian and then he fled and lived another 40 years as a nobody shepherd in a backwoods wasteland.

When Moses was 40, he had power and strength. Now GOD can use Moses weakness to show HIS power.

I can relate to how GOD used Moses, not that I am a Moses. I am 75, when I was 40, like Moses, I had strength that I do not have now. As GOD builds this Church, it will be with my weakness and inability. This is so much to get done before July 7th. It will have to be done by the power and will of GOD. We as humans, look at 75-80 to be a time to sit in a rocking chair.

Some of you, who are now 75, and retired, have the greatest opportunity to be serving GOD. I can’t say that you should be building a church, but you could be building a Sunday School Class. You could be doing things with children or the elderly that can’t help themselves. A lot of you have riding lawn mowers, which I hope you are not using on the LORD’s Day. But you could be using them to mow the lawn of someone who can’t afford a lawn service.

There is much you can do, instead of sitting, waiting to die.

My to-do list has grown so long, that if I must get it all done before I die, I will never die. And in the midst of working on my list, I have to take time to help other people. If you help other people, there will come a time, when you can talk to them about the LORD and share the gospel with them.

I get to know my campers as much as possible. I gave three One Year Bibles to three of them last week. All three had quit going to Church. They promised me that they would read the Bible. The HOLY SPIRIT will take over and do what is needed.

I am going to have to air condition my shop building, before July 7th. I don’t know how I will get that done. BUT, I have a man staying in our RV park, who just moved here from Arizona. He sold his air conditioning business to move his son to a smaller town in Arkansas. He has bought a property with a house, and is waiting to close and for the lady to move out. He does not know it yet, but GOD has sent me the man to install the AC, I just need the money to buy the equipment. I also have a good good friend, who has done ductwork for many years. He will do that for the LORD’S Church.

V39: Even when GOD sent Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, they often turned their backs on GOD, just like America has done. Stephen tells of them making the golden calf while Moses was on the mountain getting the Ten Commandants from GOD.

America has taken the Ten Commandants out of almost every public building and the golden (bronze) calf stands on Wall Street in New York.

Stephen quotes the prophets in telling of the coming captivity in Babylon because they sacrificed their children to pagan gods and did not keep the 7th year land sabbath. They got by with it for 490 years, but then GOD brought HIS punishment.

America has gotten by with their sacrifice of babies for many years, America has turned its back on GOD, and HE will bring punishment.

YOU can point your finger at those who are guilty, while YOU never read your Bible, YOU spend more time on Facebook, than you do in HIS Book. YOU live with someone, YOU are not married too. YOU use the LORD’S name in vain, and you know that you shouldn’t, as you will say, “excuse my French.” YOU desecrate HIS Day, you use the day to do everything but worship and rest. YOU never go to HIS House, but you can make it to the sports stadium. YOU steal HIS tithe, and justify it by saying, “I cannot afford to tithe.”

There was once a man, who was broke, and living paycheck to paycheck, like most Americans today. He said, to GOD, “if YOU will bless me, I will faithfully give more than a tithe. GOD did bless his and he did give more than a tithe for a long long time. Then one day, he said to GOD, “LORD, my tithe has come to be so much that I can not afford to tithe anymore.” GOD said, “that is OK, I will make you poor again, so you can afford to tithe.”

Some of YOU are so far behind on tithing to GOD, that if you were to send me the “catch up money” I could build a building and furnish it with all things needed for a new church. I don’t know who YOU are, but GOD does. And HE can make it to where YOU can afford to tithe again.

V47: I find it very interesting and quiet a coincidence, that as the Old Testament passage today is about Solomon’s building the Temple and here in the New Testament, Stephen speaks of Solomon building the Temple.

V48: While it is true according to the Prophet, that GOD does not live in a house, HE does visit: JESUS said, “where two or three are gathered in my name, it am there in your midst.” HE will be present on July 7th in my shop building.

PSALM 128:1-6:

V1: “Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to HIM.” I have been blessed over the top by GOD for years. YOU don’t have a long enough day, for me to tell (brag) on all that GOD has done for me. However, at my age, I did not want to pastor another church. When you do it right, it is very hard work. So after, two years of GOD closing doors in my face, and in respectful fear of HIM, I will do it. Just like Moses, I did not want too. I was comfortable in the backwoods of Arkansas. But there are so many “unchurched, backslidden, lost” around me and GOD keeps sending them to our RV park.

PROVERBS 16:31-33:

V31: “Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.” I have the gray hair, that was once dark brown, but I can’t say that I got it from being righteous.

If you are going to help me, please make your check out to One Year Bible Church and send it to 157 Polk Rd 624, Mena, Arkansas 71953. Yesterday, I found a computer program, that will greatly help me in preparing sermons, and presenting them on a big screen. But it is not cheap. $3500.00. I will get it, don’t know how, but I will.

ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY
GOD’S MANUAL FOR LIVING YOUR LIFE

1ST KINGS 3:4-4:34:

V1-5: Solomon goes to the most important of the high places to offer a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.” The Temple had not yet been built, so the people went to high places all over and offered sacrifices to GOD. While it is true, you can worship GOD on the lake or in the deer woods, today, but you won’t. GOD created the Tabernacle and later the Temple for a specific place for HIM to meet with the Israelites. JESUS created the Church. It can be a brick and mortar building or someone’s house. JESUS said, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them.”

On July 7, I am going to turn my workshop into GOD’s Sanctuary for one hour at 10AM. It will be called “One Year Bible Church.” The goal and mission is draw people into worship, who are unchurched or lost.

There is a “falling away” from the organized Churches of today. It started with Covid and the churches as a whole are not recovering. People are disillusioned with the water down feel good sermons that are being preached today. Church members are tired of the politics within the average Church. Many are confused with the thinking that they can “have a Sunday morning Church service on tv or the internet. There is a problem with this kind of thinking. In the book of Hebrews, chapter 10 and verse 25: “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more so as you see the Day approaching.”

What does this mean? It is simple, GOD is saying, I created the Church, and you need not to neglect going to it. And you will need it all the more as the day of the return of JESUS draws near. There is much that is going to get worse. When hard times come, people need people, family and friends and neighbors and especially GOD.

In a dream, GOD comes to Solomon and says, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

Solomon says, “I need wisdom and knowledge of how to do this thing of governing such a large number of people.” This should be the prayer of every politician in America today. In most cases, it is not.

V11: GOD said to Solomon, “since you have asked for wisdom and not long life or wealth or for the death of your enemies, I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart. I will also give you both wealth and honor.” But then there is a “if”. The condition of having a long life is that Solomon must “keep GOD’s decrees and commands as your father David did.

GOD said in Acts 13:22: “I have found David, a man after my own heart.” This does not mean David was a perfect man, he had a lot of failures, as we all do, but he really wanted to serve GOD. It was a point of his desire and faithfulness. In Romans 7:19: the ole Apostle says: I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate, I do.” He concluded that is it because of the sin within him. That is true of all Christians to some extent. It is a daily battle, and the only way to overcome it is to read the Bible everyday. When YOU read the Bible, GOD will speak to you about your life, through the reading.

Right off, Solomon is put to the test. Two prostitutes come before him arguing over a dead baby and a live one. Solomon quickly knows which is the mother, because she did not want her baby cut in half and divided between the two. She said, “give the baby to the other woman.”

Chapter 4:1-19: The NAMES again. We are told of Solomon’s cabinet officals.

V20-28: Solomon appointed 12 governors to run the districts. They were responsible for providing food supplies for Solomon as well as feed for his twelve thousand horses.

V29-34: GOD gave Solomon such great wisdom, that he wrote 3000 proverbs, and a 1005 songs. He spoke about plant and animal life, and Kings the known world over came to listen to him.

ACTS 6:1-15:

V1: As the Church is rapidly increasing in number, there is a complaint. There will always be the complaints and grumblings. One group of Jews were complaining against another group of Jews, saying that their widows were being overlook in the daily distribution of food.

V2-6: So the twelve Apostles, gathered all of the disciples and they created the office of the deacon. It was a position of a servant, who had to get his hands dirty waiting on tables. That has changed, today, many if not all deacons, want to be “power bosses” of the local church. If you want to see that to be the case, call a deacon and ask him to go work on a widow’s leaking roof.

V8-15: Stephen, a man full of GOD’s grace and power, was do signs and wonders among the people. There were opposition, there will always be opposition, where the Word is shared and people are coming to know the LORD. It is a tool of the devil.

V11: “They secretly “PERSUADED” some to lie.

V13: “They produced “FALSE WITNESSES”.

Just because someone says it, does not mean it is the truth. People can be paid to say anything. We have actually seen that in the last weeks.

PSALM 126:1-6:

V6: The results of hard work, is joy in the harvest.

PROVERBS 16:26-27:

The same said in Psalms is not said in Proverbs. Laborers work harder, when they are hungry for the results of their labor.

JUNE 7, 2024 FRIDAY 29 DAY COUNTDOWN
ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY
GOD’S MANUAL FOR LIVING YOUR LIFE

1ST KINGS 2:1-1-3:3

V1-4: King David knows he is about to die. So he instructs Solomon as to what he should do:
1. Be Strong
2. Act like a man.
3. Observe what the LORD your GOD requires.
4. Walk in Obedience to HIM
5. Keep HIS decrees, commands, laws, regulations, as written in the law of Moses.

Follow these instructions, so that you may prosper in all that you do. These instructions still work today. If ever there was a time when real men of GOD are needed, it is today. We have way too many today, doing just the opposite and living like fools. Is there any wonder, that America is in big trouble?

There have been many years, where way to many homes are single parent women, trying to raise the children of men, who show no responsibility to the home and the children living there who are theirs.

Part of the problem and reason for the sin of abomination to GOD, is the absent of GODLY fathers in the home. Men to protect and guide children in the teaching of GOD’s Word.

When I began pastoring in 1980, I came across a study by reliable sources that said: in the first two years of a child’s life, the mother has the greatest influence, after that, the father has a greater influence. In many situations today, this can not be true, as the father is not around.

GOD set the home up for the man to be the leader. Every man who has children is responsible to GOD and will give an account for his children to GOD. It is his responsibility to lead his children to GOD and ultimately to Heaven.

V5-9: David tells Solomon, who he is to execute and why.

V13-25: Adonijah, Solomon’s half-brother, who tried to become the King, asked Bathsheba to ask Solomon to allow him to marry Abishag, the girl who was taking care of King David until he died. Solomon tells his mother, that giving Abishag to his older brother, would be like giving him the whole kingdom.

Instead, Solomon has Adonijah killed. In those days, there was most often, great conflict within the families of Kings, as different members tried to take over and become the King.

V26-27: Solomon removes Abiathar the priest from the Priesthood but allows him to live at his home for the rest of his life.

V28-34: Joab learns of Adonijah’s death, he flees to the Tabernacle Altar, but Solomon has him executed anyway.

V35: Solomon sets Benaiah up as his Army Commander and Zadok as Priest.

V36-46: Shimei is put under “house arrest”, but leaves three later searching for two of his run away slaves. Solomon learns of him leaving his house and the result is he is executed.

Now that Solomon has executed those rebelled, his Kingdom is fully established.

ACTS 5:1-42:

V1-10: This is the story of a man named Ananias and his wife, who sold some land and made it appear that they were giving the entire amount to the Church. It was their land and their money, and they could have given any amount, but they lied about what they received for the land. Peter confronts Ananias and he dies, probably of a heart attack. Peter confronts Ananias’ wife, she too lies, and also dies.

V11: Great fear seized the whole church. Maybe the Church could use a Peter today. Maybe more people would quit “playing church” and get right with GOD.

V12-14: These verses seem to be in conflict, but they are not. It says, “no one else dared join them, and then it says more and more men and women believed in the LORD. It seems to be saying that many were coming to salvation, believing in the name of JESUS, but not joining the church.

V17-42: Here is the story of Peter and John being arrested, put in jail, only to be freed through miraculous means. They were arrested because of the jealously of the priests, for the following they were gathering. They are again brought before the Sanhedrin and questioned.

A pharisee named Gamaliel came to their defense in saying, “let them alone, if what they do is of man, it will die out, but if it “is” of GOD, then you are fighting against GOD.

The Apostles are set free and they continue to share the gospel. If only that were the case with Christians today. Most have never shared the gospel even with one person. Parents and Grandparents, YOU are responsible for your children and grandchildren, to know JESUS as their SAVIOR and LORD. Start by starting them reading the One Year Bible. Let the HOLY SPIRT, do HIS work, through the Word of GOD. Take, do not send them to a Church, where the Whole Word of GOD is preached. If that is not the case in your current Church, find one.

PSALM 125:1-5:

V1: “Those who trust in the LORD cannot be shaken.”

PROVERBS 16:25: Not everything done that appears to be right, is!!!

JUNE 6, 2024 THURSDAY 30 DAY COUNTDOWN
ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY
GOD’S MANUAL FOR LIVING YOUR LIFE

It begins to come together. Yesterday, I received the first donation of $1000.00 for the new Church. Because GOD is in control of HIS new Church, it will happen as it needs to happen. This will really help. As I think of what is needed.

I bought a new computer for writing my sermons and displaying them, as well as the songs. Today, I am writing this post on the new computer, in Word, which will allow me to be able to save and print, which I never could get to work on my Ipad.

I will need to buy a large screen tv, for now, as a display of songs and scripture. An overhead screen will not work best in my shop. I need to have several signs made. I need a wooden portable stand for my Bible and computer. I need a cedar 4” x 6” beam to build a second cross, as well as purple velvet cloth to drape the crosses. If you want to give to any of these things, please send a check to 157 Polk Rd. 624, Mena, Arkansas 71953. The check will not be cashed for a little while, as GOD needs to send me a Treasurer. I am not going to give anyone public credit for say, buying anything, as the LORD is the only one needing any credit.

Another good thing happened. Someone, that I gave a One Year Bible too a few days ago, came and told me it was a GOD sent. The Bible I gave was one that one of you gave to me to give away. This person said that he or she had started reading it already and that it would be read everyday until completed this time next year. There is a lot more, but I am not at liberty to tell you.

I need someone who can work a computer and the display screen. I am not to savvy on that stuff anymore.

I spent about two hours last night working on song selection for the first service. It is hard to narrow it down to three, another for a special and another for an invitation.

1st Kings 1:1-53:

We finished 2nd Samuel and today, we begin with the book of 1st Kings. 1st and 2nd Kings was originally one book written in Hebrew. It continues with the end of King David’s life and the reigns of the kings of Israel and Judah. It covers a time frame of about 400 years. I have read it and studied it, and preached from it over the past 50 plus years, but I don’t remember what is in it. It will end with the Babylonian captivity.

The purpose of the two books, is the author, unknown for sure, showing the downfall of Israel and Judah, because of “their unfaithfulness and to call the people back to a renewal of their Covenant with GOD.” Much like America today.

V1: King David is very old and cannot keep warm. I can relate to that. Because they did not have electric blankets like we do today, they decided to find a young woman to act as his electric blanket. They found a young woman, named Abishag, to be his caregiver. She had no sexual relations with David, she was only to keep him warm when he slept.

V5: Adonijah, the next son after Absalom decided to set himself up as the next King. He proceeds with 50 men and chariots.

V6: “His father (David) never rebuked him by asking, “why do you behave as you do?” Spoiled kids are not new. They have been around forever. Things that little ones do that parents allow, because it is cute, leads to many things that are not cute when they get older.

V7: Adonijah gets the support of Joab, King David’s head general of the army, Abiathar the Priest, but Zadok the Priest, Nathan the Prophet and the special guard did not join Adonijah.

V11-40: Nathan goes to Bathsheba and tells her what is going on and that she had better go talk to David, about Solomon becoming the next King. She does and Solomon is appointed by David and anointed by the Priest Zadok. You can read the details.

V41-48: Adonijah learns that the King has made Solomon King.

V49: All Adonijah’s supporters dispersed, before it can be learned who was supporting him, as they could have been excuted. Adonijah fleas to the Altar, hoping that Solomon will not excute him.

V52-53: Solomon sents for Adonijah and tells him to behave himself and he will live and to go home.

In the story of Solomon, you will see that GOD is a GOD of forgiveness. GOD did punish David and Bathsheba for the adultery, by taking the life to the child of the adultery. Then GOD shows HIS forgiveness by allowing Solomon to become King, even though he was not the next one in line. GOD can do what HE wants, HE makes the rules, like them or not.

ACTS 4:1-37:

V1: The Priests, the Captain of the Temple Guard and the Sadducees came to Peter and John after they had healed a man who was unable to walk his entire life of 40 years. In those days, if a person was crippled or afflicted, it was believed to have been because of sin in their life or the life of their parents. This question was asked of another man who Jesus healed. He said, it was neither, but that HE would be glorfied.

The religious crowd is afraid of loosing money, like a lot of Preachers today, who are preaching watered down sermons, so as not to offend the money givers and bosses of their church.

V3: They have Peter and John arrested for the night.

V4: We are told that the number of believers had grown to “four thousand men.” As I have told you before, when we were told about the three thousand on Pentecost day, there was probably more as only the men were counted.

V5-6: A kangaroo court is called.

V8-11: Peter boldly accused them of killing JESUS, and tells them that GOD raised HIM from the dead and that it is by the name of JESUS that this man is healed.

V12: Peter then tells them the most important theme of the Bible: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

It matters not what some woman on tv thinks or the creators of numerous other religions, this is the one and only way. It can not be by your parents or membership in some church, nor if your good outweighs your bad. It is only by asking JESUS CHRIST to save you and nothing else. It is not even by baptism. Nothing can be added to the price paid by JESUS on the cross.

V13: The educated are amazed that the “uneducated” spoke so well. GOD will give anyone the words they need when needed to bring glory to JESUS.

V23-26: Going back to their own people, after being warned and released, they go to GOD in prayer. They then bring King David into the picture by quoting him. “Why do the nations rage and the people plot in vain?” “The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the LORD.” This could be a current headline. As the world plots against Israel, they are plotting against GOD.

V32-35: This is not a basis for communist. These people still owned their property and possessions but used them for the benefit of all the believers. Some even selling land and houses as they wanted to provide for the needs of others. Just like those who give to this new Church, there is no demand, it is of anyone’s free will.

PSALM 124:1-8:

David gives credit to all of his and Israel’s success being because GOD did it. And HE will continue.

PROVERBS 16:24:

It is good to be Gracious to everyone.
