🇺🇸 A Proud Moment 🇺🇸

Please indulge, for just a moment, while I brag on my son. ❤️

Watching my 5th generation military son stand tall in this uniform, on our great nation’s 250th birthday, serving something greater than himself, filled my heart with more pride than words can express. Like so many military families, we know that service is a sacrifice made not only by those who wear the uniform, but by the families who love them.

While we get ready for Sunday’s blessings and prepare for the week’s projects ahead, I wanted to stop to say thank you to every man and woman who has raised their right hand to defend our country. Your courage, commitment, and sacrifice will never be taken for granted- not around these parts. Mena and Polk County has the most patriotic collective heart that I’ve personally witnessed in the great wide world.

To all Blue Star Mothers- we see you. Thank you for raising sons and daughters of character, strength, & honor. Thank you for the prayers, the sleepless nights, the tearful goodbyes, and the unwavering support you give your children as they serve our nation.
