🐻 LET’S TALK ABOUT AIRBNB’S NEW RULES! 🐻
Airbnb is making changes to its policies, and as a small, family-owned vacation rental business, we want to explain how some of these changes affect us at Bear Bottom Cabins.
We understand that when you’re on vacation, you want to RELAX! And that’s exactly what we want for our guests. 🤎
But there are a few things people don’t always understand about operating vacation cabins on private property in BEAR COUNTRY!
🌲 WE ARE NOT A HOTEL
When we ask guests to properly dispose of trash into the dumpster, it’s not because we’re trying to avoid cleaning. It’s because food and garbage attract wildlife, including bears!
If you have stayed any where in the area chances are you have encountered a bear trying to get into an atv, a cooler, or even your cabin.
Keeping our guests, cabins, and wildlife safe is extremely important to us.
🧹 OUR CLEANING CREWS WORK HARD!
Every checkout involves washing and sanitizing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, appliances, floors, outdoor areas, and preparing an entire cabin for the next family.
WE HAVE NEVER ask guests to wash sheets, wash towels, or strip beds. That’s our job!
We simply ask that guests show our property and cleaning staff a little consideration.
📝 WHY DO WE REQUIRE A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT?
This is another important part of staying at Bear Bottom Cabins.
Unlike a traditional hotel, our property offers guests opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors, including riding ATVs and side-by-sides on designated areas of our private property and enjoying the creek area located on our property.
These are some of the things that make staying with us special, but they also come with additional responsibilities and potential risks.
Our rental agreement outlines important property rules, ATV riding guidelines, creek-area safety precautions, and guest responsibilities.
Whether you’re riding the trails, exploring the creek, or simply enjoying nature, we want everyone to understand the rules and potential hazards associated with these activities.
It’s not about making your vacation complicated. It’s about protecting our guests, our property, and our small business.
We have invested a tremendous amount of time, money, and hard work into creating a place where families and friends can enjoy the outdoors and make lasting memories.

We want guests to have an amazing experience without a long list of unnecessary chores.
But we also believe vacation rental owners should be able to establish reasonable rules that protect their property, their guests, and the unique activities they offer.

We want you to come, relax, ride, explore the creek, make memories, and enjoy everything the Wolf Pen Gap area has to offer!
We just ask that you respect our property, follow our safety guidelines, and understand that behind every vacation rental is a small business with real expenses, real responsibilities, and hardworking people.
