In 2019 we found this painting in the attic being held up by a nail that punctured a hole through it. We noticed the signature was E Grindle and knew we needed to bring it back to life.

E Grindle stands for Ella Grindle (Joshua Grindle’s wife) who loved to paint. After a thorough cleaning, a bit of cropping to remove the hole, and a fresh frame, this 100 year old original painting can now be enjoyed by guests staying in Cypress Cottage North. Thank you Prentice Gallery for an amazing restoration.
