A huge thank you to Henry Akins for an incredible week at Grapplers Retreat .

Henry brought a truly unique approach to teaching jiu-jitsu—thoughtful, detailed, and focused on helping everyone develop a deeper understanding of the art. Having several days to train, ask questions, explore concepts, and learn in such a small-group setting made this a very special experience.

We’re grateful to Henry for sharing so much of his knowledge with us, and to everyone who joined us and made the week what it was. Special thanks to those who traveled all the way from Australia, Latvia, England, and Scotland! Amazing 🤘

Very special week at Grappler’s Retreat — we had the great pleasure of hosting Dan Hart and Ron of Hero Academy BJJ & Retreats along with an awesome group from across the country. Ron graciously hosted us last December in Costa Rica. It was an amazing experience and so nice being a guest for a change… and at a world class operation that’s run from the heart. Thanks guys for coming out to Mendocino. Grateful for you both 🙏

Dan Hart will be teaching in Costa Rica at Hero Academy BJJ & Retreats this December 3-7. It’s an incredible time and 100% of proceeds benefit the HeroKids program spearheaded by Ron and Holly. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an experience centered around world-class training, great people, and amazing weather 🏝️😎
