There are places you visit, and places that seem to stay with you.
Maybe it’s the way the house disappears into the redwoods. The tree growing straight through the middle of it. The light shifting through the windows as the day moves slowly by.
Or maybe it’s something harder to name.
The feeling of waking up and realizing there is nowhere you need to be. Of drinking your coffee while the forest wakes up around you. Of remembering that an entire day can be spent simply noticing where you are.
The Mendocino Tree House has always been a little unexpected. Built around nature rather than apart from it. A place that asks very little of you, except perhaps to slow down long enough to feel it.
You may come because you’ve never stayed anywhere quite like this.
But we hope you leave remembering what it felt like to have nowhere else you needed to be.
And maybe that’s something worth taking home with you:
You don’t always need to be getting somewhere.
Sometimes, being fully where you are is enough.
