Cape May is such a cute town: the original American beach resort since Victorian times. Wish we had more time to explore, but we're here to promote the lodge at the Cape May Fall Birding Festival!

I had planned to make 15 benches to scatter around the property, but only made it to three. Tony Ledesma to the rescue! He's as local as it gets, living literally just down the road from us. Though Tony claims to be retired, he seems to find a lot of work doing carpentry projects like this one. There's his number on his shirt--call him for your porch swings, picnic tables, etc.

We will have a booth at the Cape May Fall Festival in New Jersey next week. Come by and chat with us about our birders’ and butterflyers’ lodge in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

Our custom hand-made furniture was just delivered from El Potrero in Edinburg! The rustic wood pieces fit perfectly with the feel of the casitas. Also note that the signs identifying the totem bird of each casita have been hung over the doors. Getting SOOOOO close, now!!
