This year, the Holiday Inn Express Meridian has chosen two meaningful community initiatives to support, and we would love for you to join us in making a difference!

🛏️ Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Boise
For the third consecutive year, our team is proud to participate in Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) Boise, an organization dedicated to building and delivering beds to children in our community who do not have a bed of their own.

There are many ways you can help make a difference. Whether you choose to donate bedding, contribute supplies, or make a financial donation, your generosity helps provide a safe, comfortable place for a child to sleep.
Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to ensuring that no child in our community has to sleep without a bed.

🥫 Supporting the Meridian Food Bank

We are also excited to support our local Meridian Food Bank by helping stock its shelves with much-needed canned and dry goods.

The Holiday Inn Express Meridian- 2920 E Freeway Drive. Meridian, Id
will serve as a 24/7 donation drop-off location through September 21. We invite our guests, neighbors, local businesses, and community members to drop off nonperishable food items at the hotel.

At the conclusion of our drive, our team will deliver all collected donations directly to the food bank.

Three years ago today, we officially opened the doors to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Meridian Boise West and welcomed our very first guests.

What many people didn’t see was how it all started — with just three of us, day by day, in a building with no heat, no air conditioning, and no working elevator, carefully unwrapping and placing every trash can, ice bucket, and alarm clock in all 91 rooms.

And because one very important elevator part decided not to arrive until a week before opening, we spent days climbing all 67 stairs on either side of the building over and over and over again carrying supplies, linens, equipment, and probably our sanity too. 😂

From there, we hand-selected an incredible team to help bring this hotel to life. And like any new build, opening a hotel came with its share of challenges. Building a loyal clientele, creating memorable guest experiences, and earning repeat business doesn’t happen overnight — especially in an area filled with so many amazing hotels and amenities.

But there’s only one hotel at 2920 E. Freeway Drive in Meridian, Idaho that operates with the kind of pride, heart, and family atmosphere that this team brings every single day. The customer service they provide, the care they put into each guest experience, and the behind-the-scenes support they give one another is what truly makes this place special.

I couldn’t imagine going through the opening chaos, the growing pains, the victories, and the milestones with anyone else. This team has become family. While I know not everyone stays forever because life leads people to new opportunities and growth, every single person who has been part of this journey holds a special place in my heart.

Here’s to 3 amazing years, unforgettable memories, and a team that continues to raise the bar. Now let’s go win some more awards! 🏆🎉
