ANOTHER BIG IMPROVEMENT IS OFFICIALLY COMPLETE! ⚓️
In early June, shortly after acquiring The Pines at Lake Edward Resort, we ordered a brand-new Hewitt dock system. Our vision became even clearer that the long-term success of both resorts meant continuing to invest in safe, reliable, quality infrastructure for our guests.
Today, we’re extremely excited — and proud — to announce that our new dock system is officially installed and ready for our guests!
This was no small project, and we absolutely could not have accomplished it without Channel Marine and Sports in Richmond, Minnesota.
There’s a personal connection behind this project, too. Casey, the owner of Channel Marine, and I met over 14 years ago while taking college classes together. I’m happy to say that all these years later, he and his team continue to provide us with quality products, great service, and the kind of partnership we value.

For our guests, we’ve also put a lot of thought into the details:
⚓️ Color-coded bumpers designate areas for cabin guests and seasonal guests to tie up their boats.
⚓️ Our rental dock slips are equipped with quality bumpers and bungee dock lines to make docking easier and help protect your boat.
⚓️ Most importantly, the new system extends far enough into Lake Edward to provide access to deeper water, even with the unusually low water conditions we’re experiencing right now.
🌅 And it isn’t all about the boats. We incorporated a dock patio complete with Adirondack chairs — a place to sit over the water, watch the sun go down, slow life down for a little while, and simply cherish the time spent together at Lake Edward Resort.
Because at the end of the day, that’s what this place is really about. The docks, cabins, boats and improvements are just the backdrop. The memories made with the people sitting beside you are what you’ll take home.
For the last two months, we’ve dealt with less-than-ideal docking conditions at The Pines while knowing that a permanent solution was already in the works. Seeing this project finally completed is a pretty incredible feeling.
Both Lake Edward Resort and The Pines at Lake Edward Resort now have dock systems designed to better serve our guests today and for years to come.
Every project like this represents another investment in these properties, but more importantly, an investment in the people who choose to spend their vacations with us.
We aren’t finished. Not even close.
