Some good new developments this year!
First, Slopeside Cafe is partnering with Snowcloud Wine Bar for food and beverage service this winter. It took longer than we all expected but we are licensed to serve all of you now with the state and county. We’ll be doing a soft opening on Color Sunday and Oktoberfest this fall and then open during the ski season. It will be fun to hang out in a more comfortable way in the restaurant this year.
Second, we are making slow but steady progress on redevelopment plans for the property. We have been thrown some curveballs by certain organizations but we are finding ways to overcome them and are positive about the outlook. I mention this because there were a lot of rumors about demolishing the current lodge/restaurant last year that were frankly funny at times, I couldn’t even imagine how those rumors began and morphed. We plan on the current building to be usable for the foreseeable future while we work on other areas of the property. We’ll have more details of the new stuff in the ski season for you to review and get excited about.
Third, we are doing hotel room (monthly and nightly), ski lockers, parking passes rentals this winter again. Interest is high on all of these again this season. We will work through interest from last years users first, then open spaces to new comers on a first come first serve basis. I have a bunch of emails already to sort through on this, please feel free to email again to make sure I find yours and reserve your spot. Below are the rates for the upcoming season. If paying by credit card or Venmo (), 3% transaction fee will be applied.
Monthly Room Rental: $1,350.00
Nightly Room Rental: $225.00 weekend / $175.00 midweek, 2 night minimum.
Ski locker (with parking): $475.00
Wall space (with parking): $450.00
Parking pass: $350.00
Note: we will be adhering to and checking parking this year more than last year. You’ll need an updated parking pass for 2023/24 season. $100 boot release fee on the property.
Fourth, we will have ski racks for equipment. This is the same rack type as what Powderhorn Resort uses next door. This should help organize the areas near doors and walkways better. Please use them. 🎿
Fifth, the coworking space will be open again this winter for those that need a quieter place to get some work done.
Sixth, we are opening slopeside to events starting this fall. We hosted a few wedding parties over the summer and think we can do some more. If you have a birthday party or anything else you want to have happen, the space can be available to use. I view the building as a community resource for people to enjoy.
Seventh, we have one more surprise that is coming together now and we hope ready for the ski season. Once we get that up and going, I’m sure you’ll all think it is fun to see and experience. I’l let the rumors go wild on that for now. 😜
I look forward to socializing with all of you up on the mountain, enjoying this beautiful area of our home and having lots of fun this winter on the slopes. Thanks for your support, good words of encouragement and friendships. Pass the word around to others who might be interested.
