So here it goes .I am the owner operator of the Metamora-Hadley campstore and have been for 10 years. Yes I wanted to retire this year ,in the hopes I could sell off the campstore to someone, like when I purchased. However I was told by the Head Dnr at Metamora-Hadley, that they were looking for a moblie unit to be placed down by the parking area, and did not give me the opportunity to sell off to someone who wanted to take over. Weither or not this is ture I am not sure. I was also informed the beach would be closed all next year for construction on the dam and the bridge would be closed, so the didn't want anyone at concessions. I gave the park 10 years and at the end unfortunately it has not been good. I will miss all my campers..I have enjoyed being here for you.
