Mexico Beach is a beautiful little beach town located just east of Panama City and a great location to relax and get away from the crowds and traffic of Panama City or Destin. It's very family friendly and is a terrific location to do day trips to Apalachicola, Cape San Blas state park, and if you want, shopping in Panama City and Destin. The people are friendly and you will feel like you have stepped back in time. We don't have high rises or crazy spring breaks. We specialize in happy, relaxed and beautiful long days at the beach enjoying the very best of Florida.

FISHING AND PHOTOS: Mexico Beach offers some of the best fishing along the Gulf. Fish 🐠 🎏🎣 We love to welcome our fishermen and women to fish in the Bay, off the beach, or offshore fishing near our famed MBARA reefs or even further out.

To help out, the City Of Mexico Beach has a terrific fish, cleaning station and freezer storage where you can put your carcasses instead of putting them in the trashcan where they smell everything up or throwing them in the canal.

Most rental properties do not allow boat trailers on site and so we offer boat trailer parking at the Mexico Beach boat ramp for a small fee.

From Shell Shack all the way to the end of the public beach (from 7th Street to the Gulf county line at CR386), we have great sidewalks, benches and beautiful scenery to enjoy. Get out and enjoy a day casting your line and bring a nice catch home. Get your supplies at Mexico Beach Marina. or at Bluewater Outriggers in Port St. Joe or heck, even the Dollar Store, but get your gear and give it a shot.

We love a good breakfast sandwich and have to brag a little about the delicious breakfast sandwiches and honestly all of the food at . I know it might sound crazy, but this little gas station/market/deli has good food at a reasonable price. In the busy summer season when you just want a quick meal, this is a great option.

Check out their breakfast sandwiches or egg and sausage casserole. They serve breakfast until 10:30 and then they switch out for a deli lunch. Today it’s Salisbury steak, but on other days it could be spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, and they always have fried chicken.

After 5:00 pm, you can get 2 pieces of fried chicken and a side for $5. It’s not 5 star dining, but honestly, sometimes you just want a quick meal without a lot of hassle, and this place delivers.

GETTING THERE - Just drive west on Hwy 98 past the Mexico Beach Boat Ramp, and you’ll see Sunstop on your right. Yep, it’s a gas station (they also have Diesel and non-ethanol gas).
