Originally built in 1936, the hotel’s architecture is rich with Art Deco influences, creating a nostalgic environment and a unique brand of modern luxury.

UPDATE - September 26, 2017, 11:00 AM.

To our valued guests:

Upon inspection we have determined that the building has suffered damage due to Hurricane Irma needing repairs immediately.

Restoration crews will be working to repair these damages.

Unfortunately this may take some time.

Therefore, The Tides South Beach will be CLOSED to guests until further notice. We will continue to update this page with future updates once we have an expected date for re opening.

Guests with reservations for the next few months will need to find alternate accommodations.

Those who booked through a third party (i.e. Expedia, Booking.com, ect) may contact those providers.

Guests who made a prepayment will be refunded as soon as possible.

We thank our guests who have been so kind as to leave words of encouragement during this difficult situation, and we strive to return, even better than before as soon as possible.

UPDATE - Thursday, September 14, 2017, 9:00 AM.

To our valued guests.

Due to the results of HURRICANE IRMA, The Tides South Beach remains closed to guests.

Residents of Miami Beach were allowed back to their homes on Tuesday, with businesses allowed back in to survey any damages yesterday.

We are continuing inspections of the property today and Friday. At the conclusion of that assessment, we will determine when we will be able to reopen.

We hope to reopen, Monday, September 18, 2017, however that could change based on the results of our complete inspection.

We continue to ask guests to call 305-604-5070 24 hours prior to their scheduled arrival to verify the status of the property.

Guests with pre-paid reservations impacted by hurricane cancellations will be refunded as soon as we can access those systems,

Update, Monday, September 11, 2017, 7:30 pm.

Thankfully, Miami Beach was spared major damage, mainly some fallen trees and downed power lines.

The City of Miami Beach will begin allowing RESIDENTS of the city to return beginning at NOON on Tuesday.

Our staff will begin accessing any damage that may have occurred to our property, and how much clean up time may be required.

For those holding reservations, please contact the hotel 24 hours prior to arrival for any updates at 305-604-5070.

As you may be aware, HURRICANE IRMA is threatening the coast of South Florida with expected arrival of the storm Sunday and Monday, September 10 and 11.

The City of Miami Beach is under a mandatory evacuation, and as such The Tides South Beach will be closing Thursday, September 7, 2017. We hope to reopen to guests on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

However, our reopening will depend on a number of factors:

1) What damage, if any the City of Miami Beach, and The Tides South Beach itself may sustain.

2) When the City of Miami Beach determines it is safe to return.

We ask that you please call the hotel 24 hours prior to your arrival to determine our status at 305-604-5070.

Due to the approach of Hurricane Irma to South Florida, it is out of an abundance of caution, and for the safety and security of our guests and associates, that The Tides South Beach will be closing at 11 AM, Friday September 8, 2017 for the duration of the storm emergency.
