We honor the life and legacy of Kenneth Treister, the visionary architect and artist behind Mayfair House Hotel & Garden, who recently passed away at the age of 96.
Treister believed architecture should exist in conversation with art, landscape and community. That philosophy shaped his work throughout Miami and found a distinctive expression here in Coconut Grove, where lush gardens, sculptural details and unexpected forms became part of the Mayfair story.
His creative vision helped shape not only our home, but the visual character of the neighborhood he loved.
We are grateful to be part of his extraordinary legacy and to continue welcoming guests into a place born from his imagination.
