The Bear Paw Inn is a family-owned motel in Three Lakes, Michigan. It has 350 feet of direct water frontage, on a canal that connects to Ruth Lake, George Lake, and Beaufort lake. Fantastic swimming and fishing! Close to hiking trails, hunting grounds, casino, and scenic parks (Canyon Falls – “Grand Canyon of Upper Peninsula”). Hello all you wonderful Bear Paw patrons and friends

As you may have heard Terie and I are moving on towards a new future and have sold the Bear Paw Inn.

However…
We have been able to transfer this wonderful vacation destination to a couple who with their local ties and fantastic attitudes, will continue upon the upward climb of the Bear Paw Inn.

We have news

We have sold the Bear Paw Inn

I write this portion with a tear in my eye, I am a sad bear…

Our constant goal was to create a fun family oriented lodging destination in one of the most beautiful areas in the Upper Peninsula to that end I believe we succeeded.

After 4 seasons serving the best guests one could ask for, we are going on a new path in life.

Many of you have become far more then guests and are very much our friends. Our hope is that ours paths will cross again someday and we can celebrate our time together.

We carry with us fantastic memories of an adventure that will never be forgotten.

Well looks like the last two nights are going to be fun, booked solid again for both. I think a nice Fire-pit fire would be just wonderful for our last night tonight.

For any that did not catch our last post we are closing after tonight Oct 8th,

Fall colors are fantastic,

Well all good things must have an end, our last day for accepting guests this year is this coming Saturday Oct 8th

We are staying open for those that have booked prior to the 8th and are extended past the 8th

What a wonderful year it has been, once again we pushed record occupancy, So we must be doing something right... :)

Thank you all for coming and sharing this fantastic northern Michigan paradise with us.

Smoke on the water..... But no fire in the sky :) A little earlier in the fall, colors are fantastic right now.

Also once again make reservations..... With homecoming at Michigan Tech, Beer Fest in L'anse, Marquette having its own festivities, Several travelers this weekend were without lodging again.
We try to help those with alternatives but closest lodging last night was Iron Mountain,( And I believe they filled up later in the evening)
In many case's several hours away from where travelers wanted to be.
