We would be remiss without acknowledging all the comments, support, thoughts and well-wishes from our friends and family in Milan and elsewhere. We shared our news of moving back to Barberton nearly two months ago, much has happened since then, but we wanted to thank all that supported us both personally and professionally. I began to thank each well-wisher individually on our original Facebook post but there were far too many comments to respond to! (Many thanks all).

Milan will always maintain a special fondness for us, a quintessential small village that we were lucky enough to have stumbled upon in our search for an historic home. We hope and plan to visit as often as possible, when all settles down here we will see you all again.

Dad’s funeral service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00am at Barberton First Baptist Church, 254 6th Street, N.W., Barberton, Ohio 44203 with Pastor Mike Prebynski and Deacon Robin Adair officiating. Family & Friends are invited immediately following the service for a lunch at the church. Burial will then be directly afterward at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.

An emotional day for us, house sale closed today. All the best to the new stewards, we hope they will be as happy in Milan as we were, and are welcomed as warmly (except for the speeding ticket to Patty on Day 1, Lockwood Road, Police lights and neighbors wondering who are these people)?

We indulged in a "jumping off" trip to Key West (photo) prior to taking the plunge in Milan to mull our options regarding the move and new venture. We made the right choice. We hope those sort of travels may be in the near future again now with our new status. We've never shied away from an adventure or opportunity, who knows what is next?

There are far too many to thank personally for your support, Milan is a unique destination, our special small group of friends and supporters know who they are in our hearts and yours (plus those who have curiously not supported us who know who they are also). The extra effort, the help in times of need, the helping hand, there are many (and yet a rare few) who are willing to do absolutely anything to help a friend. We found it here, we will miss Milan terribly, and hopefully to visit frequently.
