Blue Yonder Cabin

Blue Yonder Cabin Conveniently located just north of Highway 7 the cabin is the closest cabin to the catch and release portion of Blue River.

Right next to Blue River Public Hunting and Fishing area, Blue Yonder Cabin can be your base camp to explore scenic Blue River or stay for a much needed weekend getaway. Bought in 2023 and renovated by helpful friends and the Carter family, Blue Yonder Cabin provides a country getaway that is as close to Blue River as you can get. The cabin borders the NE boundary of the Blue River Public Hunting

and Fishing area with a quick 5 minute drive and you are in the parking area getting ready to entice rainbow trout on whichever fly you choose to use. You can catch smallmouth, largemouth, spots (Kentucky bass as the locals call them) throughout the year with rainbow trout stocked during the winter months for the fly fishing enthusiast. The cabin has 2 bedrooms that contain Queen size beds with closets for storage in each room. In the loft area there are 2 twin size beds and 1 full size bed with enough to room to put blowup mattresses down. Downstairs in the living area includes a loveseat and chair to sit near the propane fireplace. A fly tying station is in the cabin along with other custom items including a clock, the table and bar and stools all made from cedar from our home ranch. The railing and staircase is all handmade from cedar that gives the cabin its rustic and personal feel. The kitchen includes a stove, dishwasher and refrigerator with floating cabinets for storage. Single bathroom with walk-in shower after those long days on the river. Out on the patio is an outdoor propane fireplace for cozy winter evenings. The patio has a Blackstone for cooking as well. The cabin contains a large covered patio for gathering when you aren't ready to call it a night. We are still working on the cabin with updates to be made as time goes on. In the future we hope to provide camper spots on the 5 acres that the cabin sits on.
