🍂 5 Things Awna & Whitney Love About Fall in Miles City, Montana 🍂
1. The Fall Colors
Whether you’re strolling past the historic homes that line Miles City’s quaint streets or taking a drive to one of our favorite leaf-peeping spots, the town truly comes alive in the fall. We especially love Matthew’s Recreational Area, Pirogue Island State Park, Spotted Eagle, and Twelve Mile Dam for a scenic autumn afternoon. Bonus points if you pack a picnic and some apple c***r.
2. Fall Sports
You can often find us on the sidelines or in the bleachers cheering on our kids, because nothing says fall like small-town sports. From volleyball and soccer to golf, cross-country, and football, there’s always something to root for. And of course, Friday night lights at Connors Stadium is quintessential small-town USA.
3. Coffee Shop Hopping
Cooler weather calls for hot drinks, and we love cozying up at local spots. Stop by the The Ugly Mug✨ for a warm sip, or swing by the The Ruby to enjoy your coffee outside in the crisp fall air. Either way, coffee shop treats are a must this season.
4. Local Shopping
Fall days are perfect for strolling downtown and visiting some of our favorite shops and boutiques. Miles City has plenty of unique gems. Don’t miss Girl Ran Away With The Spoon, Vintage & Rustics, and Miles City Saddlery, just to name a few. For the thrifty girlies, we enjoy a stop into St. Vincent Thrift Store or the bin store (Miles City Marketplace)
5. Aye Pumpkin Patch
This local favorite is the real deal, and you’ll actually pick your pumpkin right off the vine! Add in a corn maze, giant pumpkins perfect for photo ops, and simple, down-home fun, and you’ve got an autumn tradition at its finest.
✨ Whatever brings you to Miles City this fall, we hope you’ll stay with us at Motel Miles. Cozy, charming, and just off the beaten path. The perfect place to land after a day of small-town exploring.
