It was another successful Public Lands Town Hall at RRT! Last week, and talked to over 2 dozen engaged public lands advocates about the changes and threats that are facing our public lands today. This was the fourth town hall we've hosted and Dustin's venison and fresh catch (that morning) tacos have become a staple! There is a lot going on, but gatherings like this really help us to unite, take action, and find hope in the future.

Where you shop makes a difference. 68% of every dollar spent at an independent retailer stays in the local economy. IndieOutdoor retailers also give back an average of 2% of gross sales to local and national nonprofits.

At RRT, we show up and give back through river and trail stewardship, community events, nonprofit partnerships, advocacy, and so much more.

More dollars staying local means more investment in our communities and the outdoors we all enjoy. Not a bad return on a gear run.

We are frustrated and tired of the relentless attacks on the places we cherish. Our country's system of public lands provides solace, powers rural economies and offers connection to our past and future. This week is our final push towards 1 Million Signatures. We’re taking them to DC as a collection of people who don’t always vote the same or recreate the same, but who share a core belief that these lands are vital to the health of our country and our people. It’s makes our day when anyone takes the time to send us a text, email, or review that shares how they value our service! It’s one of the biggest ways we can really set ourselves apart from huge retailers and online shopping. It also feels good to be appreciated as people and not just for the products you come to us to buy.

I got a little emotional reading some of our reviews and customer messages this morning. It means a lot to us when people have a good enough experience that they text, email, or leave us a review to make sure we know.

At its most basic what we do is transactional but the best parts of working at a local gear shop are more deep. We learn so much about people; their pets, their favorite coffee, dream trips, (probably too much) about their foot issues, and much more. What sets us apart is having staff that will go the extra mile for you, try to get to know you, and break the mold of how you view interacting with store staff.

These customers definitely get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ back!
