Rob never stops. I made the mistake of seeing the problematic
sea w**d on the dock, an issue from low water, and mentioning it to him. So just about every day he has been cleaning it. Today he called from the dock to surprise me. The ducks had left a mess too but now it is clean again. He took a picture of his river bank, w**ds removed. Every little stone is there by his placement. Today is our date day, I will have to do something special for him. Maybe a Jimmy’s mile high cone?

A lovely couple, Lisa and Craig, who loved the river and the dock,
and town all weekend long and through the afternoon. Hard workers who have learned the importance of slowing down and enjoying the day no matter the temperature. A pleasure having them❣️

We are so grateful for our American heritage and the privilege of being born in America.
We are blessed, truly our gratitude goes to our Creator who hasn’t missed a second of our lives; He guides and directs us, and our future . Only He knows what is best for Linda and Rob❣️

As innkeepers for many, many years (44) we have hosted thousands of guests visiting Milford from around the world. How frightening to get a call late in the night from one crying, “help, my wife isn’t breathing”. That’s what we heard the other night from a guest up from Florida visiting relatives. How often do we hear the sirens go off and wonder who is in trouble? How wonderful did that siren sound to us minutes after our 911 call. Within moments we had the rescue squad, the fire chief, a fire truck and two state police cars in our drive. Can’t thank them enough for their prompt, professional and caring service. We are so thankful❣️

Yesterday we visited our guest in intensive care and her husband. Though intubated just two days ago, we found her taking her first few steps held up close by two gentle nurses. We thank each and every one for their care. We give praise to God for His amazing turn around of her health. We were all (and our guests) praying for what seemed impossible. Yesterday she was bright and alert. WOW❣️
