Spring is working so hard to wake up from its slumber….and we’re working hard to reopen from ours, too! After 6 weeks of renovations, our inn and restaurant are opening this weekend, just in time for Easter!! Call us to make a ressie for Easter lunch, or go online on Open Table. Happy Spring!

We’re getting ready for Easter, even if it’s still too cold for the Easter bunny. We’ll be featuring roasted pork, duck pasta, local oysters, lamb burgers, beet salad, and our signature scones and biscuits. Chocolate. Cacao literally means “food of the gods”…and for good reason! It can be savory or sweet with equal success. Like our Mocha Martini: featuring Cacao Maple vodka from coopersdaughterspirits, dark chocolate bitters, fresh espresso and crushed cocoa nibs, it’s the perfect blend of bitter and sweet. We are celebrating chocolate in all of its glory the month of February, with chocolate-focused cocktails, entrees, and desserts at our restaurant, The Vintage…so you have the whole month by to get romantic!

One holiday down, another one to go! Diners loved our holiday menu, but the dish of the night was definitely our Christmas Oysters: fresh Long Island Oysters with garlic butter, and chives. If you are an oyster lover, join us New Year’s Eve: we’ll be dressing them with vermouth, a touch of cream, and spinach.

New Year’s Eve is barely a week away, have you made your dinner plans yet? Our first December wedding at the inn this weekend…and even though the bride wanted us to make a traditional wedding cake with her favorite summer color (pink) and her favorite summer fruit (raspberry), the food and vibe was winter all the way: guests mingled around our fire sipping on apple squash “espressos” and crispy risotto with a saffron aioli, sliced filet mignon crostinis with a walnut kale pesto, and lots of other winter delights.
