🔥NATIVE AMERICANS – THE FIRST OWNERS OF AMERICA
Native Americans, or the indigenous peoples of the Americas, are the pre-Columbian inhabitants of North and South America and their descendants. Those who live within the boundaries of the present-day United States are composed of numerous, distinct tribes, bands and ethnic groups, many of which survive as intact, sovereign nations.
Most authorities agree that the first evidence of people inhabiting North America indicates that they migrated here from Eurasia over 13,000 years ago, most likely crossing along the Bering Land Bridge, which was in existence during the Ice Age. However, some historians believe that people had migrated into the Americas much earlier, up to 40,000 years ago. These early Paleo-Indians spread throughout the Americas, diversifying into many hundreds of culturally distinct nations and tribes.
Application of the term “Indian” originated with Christopher Columbus, who, in his search for Asia, thought that he had arrived in the East Indies. However, there is considerable evidence in support of successful explorations which led to Norse settlement of Greenland, the L’Anse aux Meadows settlement in Newfoundland, and potentially others some 500 years prior to Columbus landing in the Bahamas. From the Native American aspect, many tribes’ oral histories indicate they have been living here since their genesis, as described by a wide range of creation myths.
By the time European adventurers arrived in the 15th century, scholars estimate that more than 50 million people were already living in the Americas. Of these, some 10 million lived in the region that would later become the United States. As time passed, these migrants and their descendants pushed south and east, adapting as they went. With these new arrivals came centuries of conflict and adjustment between Old and New World societies. Today, Native Americans account for about 1.5 percent of the United States population, many of whom continue to take pride in their ancestral traditions — still practicing the music, art, and ceremonies that took place many years ago.🪶

'Set Your Heart ABlaze'

This image ; I have been sitting on this image since 2016.

I have been waiting, to get to a place in my heart where I feel like my final edits on my images are becoming the vision I had in my head of what the final image should be like.

This image is representative to me of so many things I don't even know where to start ; I can say without a doubt in my mind that this was the shot, the morning, and the company I had with me that really ignited my photography journey. At this spot, at that moment is when I was really starting to get a feel for my love for photography, the entire process ; Waking up early in the morning, routinely grabbing a cup of coffee on the way, arriving to a location that is completely serene and quiet, arriving early enough that a lot of anticipation and excitement starts to build up as you see that the skies will light up undoubtedly, with that comes a sense of success already knowing you picked a good morning ; Not to mention that being able to share it with someone who has guided you and has become your best friend through this common hobby was a second to non feeling and experience ; a memory that only that two of us share to this day.

I feel that 6 years later I am FINALLY where I wanted to be all along with my editing skills - That is not to say I never edited well or didn't like my images from 6 years ago. Today I am at a point where I honed my editing skills to a point that I am really proud of the results I achieve. The idea behind it is that I had to hone my OWN personal way of editing, my own style and rhythm! All photographers will tell you that it's quite important to have a flow to your editing, that is how you refine yourself and your edits, finally I am not afraid to say aloud that I am extremely proud of myself and how far I've come. I'm not in a race to get anywhere if i'm being honest, I never had been! I want a long and dragged out life, I have nothing but time, because life is just time, and I will not run or race forward, I will pace myself and get there when I am good and ready.

As always, I only hope that you will be patient and stay with me during my journey and just enjoy the ride while we take it one step at a time to reach our destination.
